Dave Broida will probably get tons of responses from Byrds & Roger McGuinn
aficionados out there...but here are my few grains of salt. I saw him at
the Paramount Theater in Peekskill, NY & I think he comes across really well
in concert as a solo act. His performance reminds me a bit of what Ray
Davies was doing here last year or the year before, a solo retrospective of
the best of his past music.

Roger's Rickenbacker is almost a separate band member, it's sound is so
distinctive and wonderful. He's very low key in concert, tells lots of
great old stories about "his back pages," how he got his start in the
business, who he played with, reminiscences, etc. But best of all are the
great old songs many of which you mentioned from the CD: My Back Pages,
Chestnut Mare, Mr. Tambourine Man, Turn Turn Turn, & many other great old
chestnuts, as it were. I recommend his show to you all.
