Before I speak of David's Sunday concert, there are some leftover's from
the Sat. show. Rod Kennedy presented a copy of his book to Bruce and
Liz Rouse, inscribing it,
"To Liz & Bruce -
So much help in so many ways for so many years. Thank you for what you
do
and for your support.
Hope you enjoy this inside view of the road that took me to Kerrville!
Warm Regards,
Rod Kennedy"
Bruce arranged the entertainment for the Youth Hostel concert that
afternoon for Rod's signing, with David; Barton, Polk and Towhead; and
Floyd Domino entertaining.
David performed "That Kind of Grace" (co-written with Anne Hills) and
added a verse dealing with the Jonesboro tragedy.

Sunday was a big change of pace; several had switched their reservations
to Sat., and thus we went from a packed house, to a very small group,
and the furniture didn't have to be moved outside to make room. Diana
Jones opened, having to leave to help Rod do his Borders' signing.
David included his "Foreign Guns" poem and his funny "Taller than my
Hair" in the first set, and after the break did several requests. As a
result his set was more serious than usual, with the beautiful "Bake
Sale," , "Spacesuits," "Manuel Garcia," Will you come Home." and a brief
Ocarina solo. The concert was declared over, and a reprise of the
previous evening's "Garth & Me" was performed for those who missed it
the night before. David hopes to include a tape of the Sat. performance
of it as a future hidden track.
It appears than you'll be able to pick up some of his 5 CDs
at Tower and Borders in the future. It was a highly rewarding pair
of shows, and if you've never seen David, you really should try to catch
him the next time he's in your area. He's to be in Ashland OR soon,
then will be in the NE and midwest in May
