However, anyone who records music on a regular and serious (and legitimate)
basis should use a DAT deck instead, because (a) the storage is lossless, (b)
the resulting tape is ready to be used at any studio (and many stations)
without
loss, and (c) you are likely to find more music-friendly features on the DAT
deck.
There is a subsidiary debate that goes on about which format is better for
LED-heads who smuggle them into venues and bootleg concerts. I guess it beats
arguing whether wooden or aluminum baseball bats are better for taking out the
neighbors' mailboxes. :)
