Happy 4th of July! We've added these new artists to NOMA in the last couple
of weeks:

DAVID ANDERSON
Minimalist folkabilly artist David Anderson has been billed as a "spiritual
descendant of Woody Guthrie and Rick Nelson." A fixture of the San
Francisco Bay area music scene, David's style is a mix of old-fashioned
storytelling, nostalgia, quiet humor and optimism for the human spirit.

SUZEE WATERS BENJAMIN
Suzee Waters Benjamin's songs call for a return to simple concerns,
gratitude for life's abundance and an awareness of the basic
responsibilities we all share for each other and for the earth. Her CD,
"The Water's Edge," "combines a thoughtful folk-pop style with engaging
world music rhythms: the powerful voiced Nashville veteran explores
spiritual themes in a universal way that both inspires and restores"
(Michael McCall, Nashville Scene).

ONE FELL SWOOP
St. Louis' own acoustic "folkcountryirishblueswhatever" band, One Fell
Swoop, is a unique, boundary-pushing, multi-instrumental group. Vocalist
Cheryl Stryker's powerful voice is a noted asset that's backed up by a
full-fledged rhythm section of guitar, mandolin, dobro, fiddle, accordion,
harp and more. Swoop's self-titled CD and second CD, "look out," will be
followed by a third recording to be out soon on BRAMBUS RECORDS.

SCAMBOOTY
No topic is too sacred for Steve Coon, Kathy Coon and Mandi Stanley, AKA
Scambooty, three singer-songwriters whose philosophy is, "A little song, a
little dance, a little socio-political commentary in your pants." Their
delicate sensibilities allow them to examine assorted topics like lawsuits,
self-actualization, presidential sex snafus and mass suicide.
