Howdy, all-
Lively Lucy's Coffeehouse, the student run coffeehouse concert series at
Skidmore College, is proud to present its annual Folk Festival on April 19,
1998.

The line-up features Catie Curtis, Salamander Crossing, Beth Amsel, and
Lisa Bastoni. Catie has received ample and deserved national attention for
her soulful voice and her songs that unfold like stories. Her latest
album, Catie Curtis (on the now defunct Guardian label), is perhaps more
poppy than her previous recordings, but her live performance brings
everything back where it started while giving up nothing.

Salamander Crossing's new album, Bottleneck Dreams (Signature Sounds),
has been getting raves since its recent release. Their brand of
progressive bluegrass has been grabbing attention at festivals for the last
few years.

Beth Amsel, new to the northeast, is one of the best new voices I've come
across in a long time. Her self produced tape didn't leave my cassette
deck for weeks after I got it.

Lisa Bastoni is a Skidmore student and a wonderful singer-songwriter.

The Festival starts at 2pm on Sunday. It's located on Case Green. If
you need directions to Skidmore, feel free to email me. There is no charge
for admission; we will be selling coffee, soda, and cookies at the
festival, and there is food available very close by.
