I'm coming out of lurking mode once again, and hope this time my post is
successful. So far I've posted 2 times and never seen my post appear on
the list. I've been reading this list for a few months now.
Anyway, the topic I wanted to write on was a wonderful concert I saw
last night at Club Passim, in Cambridge, MA. The artist performing was
Kevin So and I have to say he was WONDERFUL. A great mix of bluesy,
contemporary folk, and comic sounds to entertain you. It was a very
entertaining show. Kevin had the audience up on there feet at least
2x. The show was 3 hours long and seemed to pass in a minute. Kevin
will be going on tour in mid-may. He will be performing in NYC, MD, VA,
TN, the Kerrville Folk Festival and other venues in TX, AK, KY, the
High Sierra Music Festival in CA and back here in MA in late June.
Anyone interested in finding out specific dates for any of these
concerts can email me private. If Kevin is in your area, I really
recommend you get out and see him. He is a great live performer! And I
know i'm gushing, but this guy isn't a friend of mine, so take it that I
was truly impressed.
Happy listening,
Beth
[Alan sez: If any of you are sending posts and not seeing them on the list,
please let me know. I thought that we had worked out the digest problem
with Nysernet, but maybe we don't have it licked yet... Anything posted
should either be:
1) sent on to the list, though often with a more descriptive subject line.
2) your questions answered directly by me or somebody else, or
3) returned to you with our rejection notice if it's not within list
guidelines.
4) The only things that I don't at least return with a rejection notice are
things that are obviously spam or something that was sent with a long
string of addresses in the To: line.
If you send a posting and don't hear something back one way or the other,
there may be a majordomo or mail problem involved and I need to know about
these things.
When you post, be sure that your return address is correct in your mailer
or I can't respond to you. Someone sent in a posting about a house concert
in LA this week and I returned it asking them to mention who the artist
was. My message to them bounced.
P.S. Kevin So is very talented and a polished performer. Well worth seeing.]
