I still, however, prefer Karla's version. When I was singing at a club
called Maxwell's in East Texas during the 70s, one of the women there
gave me Karla's first album and told me "Too Many Faces in the Wind"
reminded her of me and what I was writing, singing and trying to do. . .
How honored I feel to have been compared with her today.
Today I am performing less and writing more, thanks to the coming into
my life of two wonderful composers who can make my lyrics sound better
than I ever thought they could, lifting me out of the folk vein for a
while. We are actively seeking folks to whom we can market our tunes
or who know of people who are looking for hybrid country/folk/rock
rock'n'roll material.
Enough of that:>). Thanks so much for the material on Goodman and the
posts about Karla and Bryndle from Ian and others. I realize I'm trying
to respond to multiple posts, but I'm new at this!
