announce the selection of 32 finalists to compete in the Kerrville New Folk
songwriting competition. Finalists will perform on Saturday, May 23 and on
Sunday, May 24.

TAYLOR GUITARS & KERRVILLE OFFER SPECIAL EDITION GUITAR
Taylor Guitars in El Cajon, California, has again joined with the Kerrville
Music Festivals in Texas to create a special edition of 25 guitars which will
be available only through our festival. The now famous Baby Taylor,
designed in three-quarter-size as a traveler's dreadnaught instrument has a
solid top, satin finish, mahogany veneer back and sides. The laser-etched
soundhole rosette says on this limited series KERRVILLE CAMPFIRE SPECIAL
EDITION. These guitars are available by special order from the Festival.

ROBERT CORWIN'S FESTIVAL PHOTOGRAPHY CLINIC
Robert Corwin, one of the nation's most respected photographers of
folk artists in concert, at festivals, in the recording studio, television
studio, photo studio and on location outdoors, will be Rod Kennedy's guest at
the 1998 Kerrville Folk Festival and will have his work on display the first
and second weekends. While he is here, Robert will conduct a one-day clinic
on Monday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 5 p.m. at Serenity
Circle (just behind the festival business office) for up to 25 pre-registered
participants.
